The fascinating world of fashion: Zumtobel luminaires light up Reserved Stores

Light touches every view. It takes us by the hand. It leads us into a world of bright colours and silky fabrics. Our hands feel the soft material. Our eyes are drawn to the displays. Inspiration tingles inside us. And we are fascinated.

Step into a Reserved Stores shop and you immerse yourself in a world of fashion where accentuated light actively entices you to browse. This is light that guides, presents and inspires. This is light that simultaneously underlines the unmistakably modern design of the Reserved Stores brand. This is light from the Austrian lighting manufacturer Zumtobel, together with a team of in-house architects and lighting planners from LPP (the leading Polish fashion retailer which manages five fashion brands, among them the flagship brand Reserved). The stores skilfully surround the consumer with pleasant illumination that is perfectly aligned with the integrated store concept of the Polish fashion chain Reserved – a concept that Zumtobel is supporting since 2017 in Reserved Stores throughout Europe. The most recent example can be seen in Frankfurt, where a new shop opened its doors at the end of September.

Special recognition at the BCC Pledge Awards

Representing the collective interest of all sectors of the UK ceramic industry, the British Ceramic Confederation (BCC) actively promotes environmentally responsible and sustainable manufacturing. Running for over 15 years, the BCC Health and Safety Pledge is an industry-wide commitment to engage in a process of continuous improvement in health and safety. The programme was initially set up as a direct response by the industry to the then Government’s challenge to “revitalise” its health and safety performance. It is now in its fourth phase, with the industry working collectively alongside the Health and Safety Executive and the trade unions in a collaborative and progressive manner. Michelmersh has always been committed to investing in ongoing improvements with regards to health and safety, whilst making training for its staff a high priority. This year’s Pledge accolades are proof that the British manufacturer’s unified approach to a substantial rolling programme of investment has been reflected in significant improvement awards yet again.

Solo exhibition “Franco and Renata” by Thomas Berra

Park Associati are pleased to host in their practice’s premises the solo exhibition of Thomas Berra, opening on the occasion of the beginning of the Milano Fall Design Week.

Inspired by family photographs, the artist tells the love story of Franco and Renata, his uncle and aunt. This very personal story is also a reflection of an era, the long Italian post-war period that was scarred by events that left a mark and influenced the recent past. Based on the Grand Hotel-style photo-novels, the artist created a picture tale printing it in around 1000 copies. The work is meant to be shown on a support reminiscent of the small kiosks that used to sell newspapers in those years. The artist asked Park Associati to design the newsstand on which the copies of the photo-novel are to be affixed.
