Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti wins the Reader’s Choice at the Hospitality Design Award 2020

The five-star Luxury hotel in Pinzolo (Italy), whose interiors were entirely designed by Studio Apostoli, is a hospitality model of excellence, rewarded by the readers at the Hospitality Design Awards.

With almost 4,000 votes received in a few days, which led to the victory of the Suite Reader’s Choice Award, Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti has been confirmed as the Italian hospitality facility preferred by the public of the Hospitality Design Award 2020.

LWK + PARTNERS designed the Crown Jewel of Emaar’s Downtown Dubai “Burj Crown”

The MENA Studio of Hong Kong-based practice LWK + PARTNERS has earlier this year completed the design package for the latest project “Burj Crown” by Emaar. The luxury residential development is the final addition to Dubai’s renownedDowntown Skyline. A unique urban residential destination that was launched at the beginning of 2020 by His Excellency Mohamed Alabbar, Founder and Chairman of Emaar Properties.

Serpentine Pavilion 20 year anniversary

The inaugural Serpentine Pavilion opened 20 years ago this month.
In 2000, the Serpentine Gallery in London’s Kensington Gardens commissioned a specially designed pavilion for its 30th anniversary gala. The brief was to devise an external enclosure for 400 seated guests on the lawn outside the gallery and, responding to the temporary nature of the installation, the studio started with the idea of a tent or marquee.

Infinite Building: Buildings Inside Buildings

Architect Jean-Maxime Labrecque was awarded five design and architecture prizes for his singular project, Infinite Buildings.
Last October 14, he was presented with the Architecture MasterPrize Interior Design of the Year Award at a gala held in the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. In June, Jean-Maxime Labrecque had already won an Azure Magazine AZ Award at a gala that took place at Toronto’s Evergreen Brick Works, while earlier in the year, he had received an Excellence Award from the Québec Association of Architects (OAQ), a German Design Award from the German Design Council and a Grand Prix du Design Award for the same work.
