B.zero1: Story of an icon

Inaugurated on 29 April, Bulgari hosts a retrospective exhibition dedicated to B.zero1, one of its most successful pieces – an instant classic combining tradition and timeless design.

To celebrate the creative journey informing the entire collection from its origins to the latest iteration, ZHD presents the Ring Wall installation – measuring 9mx3m and made of about 1,300 recyclable plastic and wood elements that reproduce the design of the B.zero1 ring in different sizes and colours, the artwork consists of a vertical landscape, coherently referencing perspective distortions, asymmetry and fluidity, all topical elements of the formal research and design language of the practice.

Within the exhibition, a special space is dedicated to the visionary genius of Zaha Hadid displaying some of her most sculptural works, echoing the professional and creative path of the woman who has challenged the rules of architecture and design, along with a selection of items from ZHD’s current collection as well as limited edition pieces.

Five years after its launch, the B.zero1 Design Legend strongly maintains its relevance due to a unique fusion between Zaha’s distinctive design language and Bulgari’s sense of timeless style” said Woody Yao, co-director of ZHD. “As we celebrate Zaha and her career as an architect and designer, we also salute her legacy and look forward with renewed confidence to the future and the exciting new challenges and opportunities it will bring” concludes Yao.

The exhibition is open to the public from 29 April to 12 June.
