Ashok Sharma Architects designs a 7000 sq. ft headquarters for an international cloth manufacturing company.
The initial client brief was to have classical office spaces with two sample set rooms, accounts area, reception, waiting and a manager cabin. The idea of having classical spaces was to keep the Indian mystique style in play as they have a majority of overseas collaborators.
The initial concept was to have a combination of both the classical and modern style in conjunction. The classical style was left for the main office spaces, and modern style was incorporated with a hint of classicism in the public areas of the headquarters. The head office is painted in mystique teal green shade, with classical ornamentations and a hand painted canvas on the ceiling making the entire space to give out a regal outlook. The details on the wall panels are what catches the eye of the visitors. The ornamentations and the colour scheme along with the artistic ceiling make this space stand out from the others. The Indian-artist took over 30-days to hand paint the canvas on the ceiling, which depicts the idea of power with synchronicity in life.

Right next to this office is another smaller-office area which is also erected in classical style with a bright colour-scheme. The ornamentations are finished in a shade of white whereas the ceiling is designed with glossy-bronze buffed glass and a light-piece, making the entire outlook of this space to come out as a neo-classical space. The managers cabin is separated from this space, yet is strategically placed in the entrance vestibule, overlooking the main office spaces. The managers cabin is formed with wooden vertical louvers and modern architectural style. The entrance vestibule walkway leads the user towards the reception and waiting area.
The reception and waiting area are segregated through a screen, and are erected in modern style. Both these spaces are overlooking the central landscaped area which makes the environment of this space a little lively and bright. The landscaped area is also opening towards the set of sample rooms, in this case which are used for potential customers to showcase the kind of quality delivered by the company.
