Light artist, is happy to announce plans for<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">&#8220;TRAVERSION&#8221;, an illuminated sculpture to be located at the iconic &#8220;Bridge of 15 Bridges&#8221; will echo the effect of looking through one bridge tunnel to the next. The site has a unique and interesting visual rhythm, as you look down each road or canal you see multiple bridges lined up in the distance &#8211; hence the name &#8220;bridge of 15 bridges&#8221;.<\/p><div id=\"archi-1761985107\" class=\"archi-horizontal-in-content archi-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- Horizontal responsive -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1313562808736279\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"4811561488\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p>\u201cMy work is determined by the site itself,\u201d said Tapscott. \u201cThe place determines the idea, the idea determines the materials and the materials determine the approach and its language\u201d. Rarely using colour, Tapscott\u2019s Land And Light art is particularly concerned with the \u2018genius loci\u2019, and the narratives that emerge at a littoral edge where land meets water and water meets light.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.archidust.com\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-331\" src=\"http:\/\/www.archidust.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/totem-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"427\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.archidust.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/totem-2.jpeg 427w, https:\/\/www.archidust.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/totem-2-300x202.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The translucent sculpture is meant for pedestrians to enjoy too; they will see boats emerge through a curtain of warm mist at the end of the tunnel, as if from another world. The mist will hang in the air, floating above the water, intensifying the emotional timbre of the space.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Edition #7 of the 53-day Amsterdam Light Festival revolves around the theme \u2018The Medium is the Message\u2019, a famous statement by the Canadian scientist Marshall McLuhan. The role of light in conveying a message and the city of Amsterdam as a medium for telling stories will be central to the festival of 2018\/19.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier in 2018 Tapscott showed \u201cVivisection\u201d at the DARK MOFO festival in Hobart. Also this year, his \u201cDiaphanous Bloom\u201d was installed in Shenzhen, China, in association with Art Front Gallery and United Art Projects.
