ICD Aggregate Pavilion 2018

In inanimate nature, large masses of granular substances, such as sand or gravel, are in constant processes of formation through perpetual cycles of erosion and accretion. What if architecture was to emulate this behaviour and allow for its own continuous reconfiguration?

The comfort in office according to Alma Design

The world of work is constantly evolving and moving. Habits, tools, interactions and last but not least the spaces, which become more and more flexible, dynamic and shared.

Today, the tendency to define always different concepts, leads the office to be no longer considered as a simple place where carry out daily activities, but a space for relationships, with a very precise personality, connotation and function.

Dutch Design Week theme announced: If not us, then who?

With just under seven weeks to go until the opening, the 17th edition of Dutch Design Week (DDW) is starting to really take shape. Today the theme is revealed, and part of the programme is on the all-new website, that is organised as a content platform for design.

Theme: If not us, then who?
Almost everything in the world has been or is being designed. This offers opportunities, but with this come enormous responsibilities; for designers, but also for policy makers, clients, users and governments. The world belongs to us all. Director Martijn Paulen explains about the role of designers: ‘Designers think up solutions, create innovations, are pioneers, make things tangible and functional. They look at their surroundings and the world in a unique way. “How could it be different, better?” And to these questions designers continually supply authentic and surprising answers. It is up to us all to embrace and stimulate these creative solutions, and that includes you. If not you, then who? Together we decide how the world will look. Now it’s our turn; If not us, then who?’

Antrax IT expands its Bath Collection with V8 and Pi&no

Optimise the role of the radiator in your contemporary bathroom, whatever its size or style. Antrax IT brings you V8 and Pi&no, two new aluminium heated towel rails with a compact, clean, linear design aimed at improving thermal performance, reducing energy consumption and perfectly integrating into the bathroom space.

V8 and Pi&no are composed of two vertical tubes to which horizontal elements are anchored; these elements feature repeatedly but at a different ‘rhythm’, changing their configuration: Pi&no has a stronger aesthetic impact than V8 due to the higher number of horizontal elements it is composed of.
